Dr. Hurych

Dr. Danny Hurych is a Southeast Texas native, raised in Fannett. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in Biomedical Sciences and then returned to Beaumont where he received his Master of Science degree in Biology from Lamar University. Following graduate school, Dr. Hurych returned to Texas A&M University where he completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014.
Dr. Hurych met his wife, Kelsey, during graduate school and they were married in 2010. In 2012, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Rose, who was followed in 2017 by Violet. He embraces his role as a husband and father and enjoys spending his free time with his family.
Dr. Brown

Dr. Brown grew up in Florida before finding himself at Texas A&M in 2003, he discovered his love of Veterinary medicine doing equine work in 1996. Dr. Brown worked at Dowlen Road Vet center from 2011 to 2015, he left to serve his country in Afghanistan. After returning stateside he started working at the Southeast Texas Animal Emergency Clinic, where he worked from 2018 to 2020.
We are so excited to have Dr. Brown, along with his wife Heather and his two beautiful children Kiara and Gabe, as part of the Dowlen Road Vet Center Family.
Dr. Dever

Dr. Dever is a southeast Texas native that grew up in Port Neches. She has worked off and on for Dowlen Road since 2013, holding a variety of positions. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor, a master’s from LSU, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn.
Her and her husband, Will, have two cats and two dogs.
We are so excited to have Dr. Dever return to the Dowlen Road team and look forward to watching her veterinary career take off.
Carrie Fontnow

Carrie has been working as a manager at DRVC for the past three years. She has a heart for our unsurpassed cliental and has developed meaningful friendships with many of our long standing clients through the years.
Although she now works in veterinary medicine, Carrie began her work with animals at the age of 16 as a kennel worker. After working for several clinics in the area, she decided to pursue her passion for rescue animals with the Humane Society of Southeast Texas where she had the pleasure of serving for ten years.
Carrie and her amazing husband have been married for 15 years and have a beautiful teenage daughter who is excited to pursue a career in human medicine. Her family supports her love of all things rescue with their three rescue pups, multiple cats, and a very spoiled bearded dragon, Chief.
Kelsey Hurych

Kelsey is the clinic business manager. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Lamar University but has been working in bookkeeping for six years. She and Dr. Hurych have been married for 11 years. Kelsey enjoys homeschooling their two girls, Rose and Violet on their mini homestead in Winnie which includes several gardens, dogs, cats, reptiles, chickens, rabbits, and fish.
In her spare time, Kelsey leads her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop, gardens, crochets and reads.
David Ogden

With ten years of experience, David is our cremations specialist. If you have ever had the misfortune of losing an animal, it is David’s compassionate hands that have handled the cremation and remains return.
He has a true heart for helping clients through the loss of their pets and believes in living life with a positive attitude.

Kayla Ponder
Kayla graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology. One of her best experiences was studying abroad in Thailand. She cares for all animals but has a passion for dogs including her two Great Danes, Casper and Hades.

Brandi Garrie
Brandi has been a veterinary technician for going on 12 years now. Holding her CVA Level I certificate, she has vast experience with everything from common to exotic pets, but really loves to educate clients on pet nutrition. In her free time, Brandi trains dogs and runs hunt tests/field trials with her Labradors.

Alicia Fontnow
Alicia has been working in the Veterinary field for 12 years. She is married with three sons including a set of twins. Alicia has several pets of her own, but is best known around the clinic for being the “Cat Whisperer” due to her inexplicable ability to handle even the most impossible felines.

Dylan Lavergne
Dylan has a lovely wife and three beautiful daughters. He is into making art and loves cheesy horror movies. Dylan is one of our quieter and more tenderhearted technicians, but his constant smile is absolutely infectious.

Gabby McCord
Gabby has a heart for animals and veterinary medicine. She is working toward making a life-long career in this field and with DRVC. Together with her high-school sweetheart, she cares for two Pitbulls, Drake and Zumy.

Mariah Parise
Mariah is a long time DRVC employee, going on her eleventh year. She is married with two rambunctious pups, Rocket and Bandit. One of our first techs to achieve the accommodation, she achieved her Certified Veterinary Technicians Level I certificate in 2016 and plans to continue her education by attaining her Level II and III in the future.

Darby Broussard
Darby has been a vet tech for over 15 years, working in a variety of fields including exotics and wildlife. She has been happily married for 20 years and is the mother of two amazing young men. On the weekends, Darby’s guilty pleasure is plant shopping, thrifting, and finding treasures at estate sales. .


Kelli Ybarra
Kelli is our Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 2017 with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. In addition to leading our staff in hands-on training, she is also our assistant manager. She is married with two precious sons and she adores her Dachshund, Sammy.

Ashton Bradley
Ashton graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in December of 2018. She grew up showing livestock and now raises Beefmaster cattle out in Winnie with her Great Dane, Malibu.

Chantelle MacCallum
Chantelle is our resident surgery technician specialist. Most days, you will find her in the back prepping your pets for surgery and helping them to recover comfortably afterward. She has 7 years of experience in the veterinary field and has three dogs and two cats of her own.

Nikki West
Nikki has been a veterinary technician with us for a year and a half. She radiates joy and her cheery attitude is contagious. She has a Chihuahua, Max, and a German Sheppard, Achilles. Her favorite baseball team happens to be the LA Dodgers, no judgment from the Astros fans.

Morgan Martel
Morgan has had lifelong dream of working with animals that is now being realized here at DRVC. She loves her three cats and pug, Jaycee, along with anything spooky or Halloween oriented.

Serena Walker
Serena has worked with animals for almost ten years and her bright smile is always ready to greet you at the door. A mom to three fantastic kiddos, her favorite color is glitter and her favorite animal is… ALL OF THEM! Serena believes that happiness is key, and she loves our clients just as much as she loves their fur babies.

Tammy Davis
Tammy has been working in the veterinary field for the past 21 years. She truly enjoys helping our clients and currently splits her time between DRVC and caring for her grandkids. She has four children, five grandkids (with the hopes of more), and three dogs

Brandi Gibson
A relatively new addition to our team, Brandi is one of the bright voices you’ll hear when you call into the clinic. She is a mother to three children and owns two dogs and a horse. When not at work, Brandi can be found cheering on her daughter at softball games or taxiing her children around town.

Gabriella Oszczakiewicz
Gabbi has been working in veterinary medicine for seven years giving her immense knowledge to go with her cheerful personality. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and is an artist in her spare time. She dreams of someday owning a bat sanctuary.

Jada Osborne
One of our phone’s receptionists, Jada is currently working her way through school to earn her bachelor’s degree in General Business. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her tabby cat, Maria, and lifting weights at the gym.

Jodie Walters
Jodie’s warm smile is the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. The quintessential extrovert, she loves being able to greet clients and spend time chatting with them at the front desk. Outside of work, Jodie spends her free time hanging out with her two energetic boys and their dogs.

Tiffany Garza
Tiffany found a deep love for veterinary medicine through rescue work. She has been married for 30 years and has four kids and eleven grandkids. Outside of work, Tiffany is always singing, laughing, bringing joy to others with her upbeat demeanor.

Vickie Atkins
Vickie has been the kennel manager at DRVC for the last five years. Her compassion shines through in the undivided attention she gives to each pet who stays with us. Vickie has one dog and four cats of her own and loves to do arts and crafts in her spare time.
