Meet the Team
Dr. Hurych
Dr. Danny Hurych is a Southeast Texas native, raised in Fannett. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in Biomedical Sciences and then returned to Beaumont where he received his Master of Science degree in Biology from Lamar University. Following graduate school, Dr. Hurych returned to Texas A&M University where he completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014.
Dr. Hurych met his wife, Kelsey, during graduate school and they were married in 2010. In 2012, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Rose, who was followed in 2017 by Violet. He embraces his role as a husband and father and enjoys spending his free time with his family.
Carrie Fontnow
Carrie has been working as a manager at DRVC for the past eight years. She has a heart for our unsurpassed cliental and has developed meaningful friendships with many of our long standing clients through the years.
Although she now works in veterinary medicine, Carrie began her work with animals at the age of 16 as a kennel worker. After working for several clinics in the area, she decided to pursue her passion for rescue animals with the Humane Society of Southeast Texas where she had the pleasure of serving for ten years.
Dr. McMillan
Dr. Tayler McMillan grew up in Southeast Texas and has been passionate about veterinary medicine from an early age. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University before graduating from Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
Her journey with Dowlen Road Veterinary Center began at just 12 years old when she volunteered walking dogs in the boarding facility. At age 16, she joined the team as a technician, working during school breaks throughout high school and college.
Dr. McMillan has a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients. She shares her home with two rescue dogs—an American Staffordshire Terrier and a Dogo Argentino. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and watching Formula One racing.
